Dear Alan: Last spring my starter went kaput too. This was my second starter, a unit spent I $140.00 for. I took my old, original starter to Mike's Automotive, an electric motor rebuilder, in Cincinnati, OH. Mike's fixed it for $40-$45, and I have never had a better starter. Installation/removal was easy, only one of the bolts is hard to reach. Mike's Automotive's phone number is 513-531-5227. Email me if you need more info. Kevin O'Connor, 1971 TR6 |
