Just wanted to give the list a heads up on some bad service I received from
Classic Tube in NY since I learned of them from the list. I ordered a full
set of their brake pipes and received them about 3 weeks later. They looked
great. When I went to install them one of the pipes had incorrect fittings.
When I called to let them know about the problem they told me to send in
the old pipe along with the new one and they would correct it. I
overnighted both to them the same day and asked to get them back to me as
soon as possible. That was over two weeks ago, so my car is still of the
road and their attitude is they couldn't care less. Just a heads up.
On a positive note I was rebuilding my calipers and had ordered new pistons
from Victoria British. Three were correct one had a improper lip. They got
the correct size from me over the phone and sent me the correct one the
next day no charge.
I think a major benefit of this group is to share good and bad experiences
so we can all benefit from them, and I also needed a place to vent my
frustrations.
