Hi, Richard. On the face of it, the prime suspect is fuel. However, if the car starts OK and the mixture seems right, could it be ignition? I'd check that the ignition is not only timed but is also advancing with engine speed. Similarly, is the coil producing a good. meaty spark under all conditions? If feeble, the spark could be breaking down under compression, especially at high revs when in thrash mode. Hope these suggestions help. Cheers, Dave Hill. |
