Hans...I torqued mine to 32 lbs. I used gasket cement but I don't
believe it was a necessary step. Mine's the earlier single-rail BTW,
so I have no seal on the input shaft...just the slinger.
Are you sure your leak is from the tranny and not from the rear main
seal on the engine? One other thought...one of the tranny to
bellhousing bolts is intended to have a copper sealing washer on it.
The bottom one, methinks. The rest just get a standard lockwasher.
Did you take note of this?
