Ken,

I would! Probably the best I've found is "Automotive Electrical Systems" by
Herbert E. Ellinger. All I have is a Xerox copy, so I can't give you any more
information -- publisher, publication date, ISBN, etc. I didn't copy the
pages with that information.

Another very good book is "Automotive Electrical Handbook" by Jim Horner, HP
Books, 1986, ISBN 0-89586-238-7. This book is currently available from most
of the usual sources.

If you should run across a book called "Wired for Success," avoid it like the
plague! Just for laughs, though, you should take a moment to read the
author's description of the difference between the "mechanical theory of
electricity flow" and the "engineering theory of electricity flow." It makes
you wonder how a book could actually make it into publication with such
grossly incorrect information. Not just incorrect, but downright silly!
