I have reached a stage on my Very Very long restoration of my
beloved TR2 where the body shell must be dealt with. Because I intend to
farm this work out as I do not possess the necessary knowhow. This means a
large chunk of money is required between repairs and painting, as well as
the fact that I will have the extra expense of shipping my shell across to
England. I was wondering about the wisdom of having all the repairs carried
out and then storing the shell until I could afford the paintwork, as I can
have the car painted here in Ireland to a high standard, but the repairs I
feel are best carried out by one of the TR specialists (I am thinking of TR
Bitz). Can this be done?, the shell would be stored in a well insulated
garage. Is there something that could be applied to the shell that would
not cause the painter too much problem when it came time to paint.
Thanks in advance
