According to the factory spare parts catalogue all the gauges changed at
commission number CT11308 for left hand drive cars and body number 15054CT
for right hand drive cars. The nature of the change isn't spelled out, but
I've always assumed that it included the switch from convex glass to flat
glass. 

It's odd that they specified the change point by commission number for LHD
cars, but by body number for RHD cars.

It's also odd that the only replacement glass listed is convex.  My copy
of the catalogue is part number 510978, second edition, first printing. 
Perhaps a later edition has additional information.
