Hi Fred Did you remove your spark plug leads when you rebuilt your carbs? It sounds as if you might have the plug leads reversed for cylinder 3&4. The only other thing it might be (in my humble opinion) is the float sticking open or dirt in the needle valve. try blowing through the gas inlet and moving the float. don't blow realy hard but you should be able to stop the flow of air without too much float pressure.
