What I am doing is finding a certified auto appraiser for my state
(MA). They should do a thorough inspection including a test drive and
take pictures. My guy will provide 2 copies; the cost is $90. Previous
LBC experience is a plus. Then make sure your insurance co. agrees on
the value in the appraisal should the worst happen.

I am just finishing a frame up restoration on a 1965 Triumph Spitfire
4/GT6. I would like suggestions as to how I may establish a realistic
value for this car and suggestions for insurance carriers. I have spent
more than the car would bring at sale but since I purchased the Spitfire
4 part of this car new on June 5, 1965 I have gotten kind-a attached to
it.
