Jeff:
On page A21 of the current Moss manual, they show an ignitor electronic ignition
that uses a hall effect sensor. I've not used one, but I have seen many posts
to the
list from people who have one and like it. Note that it has a Moss list price of
$99.95 US , not the $119.95 of the Crane unit. Like you, I was not aware of this
unit when I bought my Crane. By all means, use BPC if you are going to
purchase it.

Perhaps someone on the list who uses one can tell you their experiences with it.
More info on the differences of electronic ignitions can be found at:
http://www.prostar.com/web/rsinc/ign.htm    as one example.
If you have access to a fax machine I can send you some more material.

Cheers and good luck;
I have to go out and get some work done on my car now. It's almost 60* F today
but
will be a high of 35* on the weekend. :(
