Hi all,

A few people have sidcussed steering column locks and how to remove them.
Someone suggested a stubby screwdriver after slotting the sheared heads. I
did this the other way, I slotted the BOTTOM and could use a standard size
kind to break the torque - then a thin one to back the bolt out. The
killer is that to get at this you need to remove the lower brace.... which
requires removing the instruments anyway.

The bolts can be replaced with your basic 5/16 fine bolt or preferable
something with an allen head that fits into the recess.

PS this is a good time to check out your steering column bushings if you're
into machocism.
