The concensus of the list was that the polyurethane bushings
are worth installing. I bought bushings for the upper and lower
control arms from Ted Schumacher. Tonight I cleaned the arms
up, and broke out the bushings.
The bushings don't fit tight in the holes. In fact, they are fairly
loose. For example, I put both bushings in the lower, inner
control arm, then fit the mounting bracket and bolt (I didn't
torque up the bolt) and I could wiggle the arm about 1/8" on
the bolt.
Are the bushings supposed to fit tightly? The stock rubber
bushings have to be pressed in, they are so tight.
Do the poly bushings expand after torqueing down the mounting
and fulcrum nuts?
And thanks in advance for your "been-there-done-that" advice.
