The Richmond Triumph Register is sponsoring its 6th annual British Car Meet
on Sunday, May 18th at a new location this year - The Meadow at the Boulders.
The show is open to all British Marques.
We expect a great day with over 250 British cars of all descriptions. Trophys
will be awarded in over 17 classes including a Senior class for all first
place winners from the 1997 car meet. We will be awarding door prizes
frequently during the day. Also, an RTR exclusive, "Peoples Choice Award" will
be awarded to the most popular car chosen by the spectators. This year we are
adding a "Governor's Choice" trophy to be awarded by Virginia Governor James
Gilmore to his favorite car at the meet.
There is a pre show social at the Fox & Hounds British Pub at 10455
Midlothian Tpke in Richmond at 7:30pm on the Saturday nite (May 16th) open to
all entrants and vendors. It is BYOD (Buy Your Own Dinner). Many of the out-
of-towners are staying at the nearby AmeriSuites (804-560-1566 ask for the
special Car Meet rate of $69).
