traitor ?

hi all,

i have just bought my first non triumph car since august 1982.  does this
make me a traitor?.
it was however built not too far away (from the triumph factory) and has the
same wiring color code (so as not to confuse the marmots).  the springs are
as hard as the herald but the turning circle is about four times as large!
need any more clues?
