Does anyon know the approximate weight of the body tub of a TR3? All
removable pieces are off the car and hanging on the wall in the garage.
The tub is just sitting on the frame (not-fastened). Trying to figure
out how to move it for sandblasting, etc. Is there someway to support
the door opening to release the stress on the rockers without welding a
brace in? A friend has a sandblaster that he'll let me use, so - how
big of a task is it? I have a quote of $550 to do the entire car
(inside and out). Time factor is a consideration as I am scheduled for
powder coating (as primer) the week of March 23rd. I am off work next
week so that time is mostly available for the project.
An update on TS25... The engine/tranny is in, running smoothly.
Working out some bugs on the clutch and then need to re-do the front
wheel bearings to get rid of the wobble. Hopefully it will be on the
road late tomorrow night as the weekend looks like perfect top-down
weather... Can't wait to see the difference an o/d makes...
Thanks
