I never got this from the list, so thought I'd send it again. Sorry if you
get this one twice.

Larry-
I think they will work. Check out Ben Bradshaws homepage:

He has an '80 model spit that has earlier spirfire (GT-6?) chrome bumpers.
Looks great.

Question for the list,

as the rolling ability of penny comes more rapidly, and i would like to
drive her sometime in the near future, i have a question from an
aesthetic point of view.

Will the chrome bumpers from a 77 or 78 bolt to the 79 frame and chassis
i now have. i have never been impressed with the plastic bumpers on my
poor spitfire, she has been tapped from behind on at least one occasion,
(something the dpo said had never happened) the frame and body are still
straight as an arrow so no worries, but it did manage to crack the
plastic bumpers on the back, i now find myself liking the "look" of the
chrome bumpers on the 77 and 78's i have seen. so there we have an issue
for different bumpers.

also, somehow i ended up with 6 tires when i bought the car, they all
bolt on but only 4 match (original style) and even they don't match. i
have 3 that are black and one silver, can someone identify the right set
of rims or where the others came from. not that it matters im going to
paint the rims body color when im done anyway, just curious.

i have one mag and another that looks to be a trailer tire, i plan on
keeping the trailer tire rim with a new tire for a spare, so i also have
a mag looking rim up for grabs for shipping. if you need a spit spare
let me know.
