It was me!!!

I have to confess I am ignorant enough to take on the likes of
a Spitfire wiring loom, shorted out and tinkered by eleven previous
owners.

I don't believe the loom was originally wrapped with self amalgamating
tape. The tape on my loom I can un-wrap / re wrap quite easily. If
self amalgamating tape is what it professes to be then you can't un-wrap
it.

A friend said that it can be obtained from electrical shops, as it
is used extensively for TV aerial wiring. I have also seen an advert in
the Maplin catalogue.

I am after the tape used on the wiring loom, that comes is non stick,
and is a bit like cling film in the way it holds together.

If you could give me the address anyway, because I am always after
cheaper places to get stuff.

Thanks

James

PS. Your not paul Macartney's brother?-)
