I sell dry cleaning fluid, and I can tell you that many brake cleaners use
this solvent, perchloroethylene. If you use it on aluminum, wipe it off, as
the solvent is not really compatible with aluminum. Please be sure to use
it in a well ventilated area, as it can cause dizziness and sometimes
nausea and headaches. If you use it to clean grease stains out of your
clothes, make sure those clothes are completely free of the solvent before
you put them on.
