When you dip your lights the beam is pointed away from oncoming
traffic so if you use RHD lamps on a LHD traffic system you will
dazzle oncoming traffic, and get a fine from the police.
RHD lamps point to the left, LHD lamps point to the right.
If you are going on holiday to a LHD country and you have a
RHD car you can put a peace of tape in the marked places, but
this is no good for permanent use.
It's not the wiring, as there are two filaments one for dip
and one for full, not one for right dip, one for left dip
and both for full, but that would be a good idea.
Which way it dips depends on the prisms in the glass, and
the silver reflector.
