Although I am not at the car - you want to create the tension to hold
the vent open. That will also make it easier to pull the knob. I
think that the little clamp that holds the wire is positioned so that
the wire is closer to the opening than the screw. (Hope this makes
sense) I'll look tonight and confirm.
