Head gasket job

Will - How did your head gasket job go?

Mine was a disaster. I can't figure out what's going on.  I didn't
even have to start the engine to see coolant leaking from the rear of
the gasket!  This is _after_ machining the head and being extra
careful with cleaning and torquing the hardware.

AAA is towing it to British Automotive Services in Palo Alto. :-(
