Arthur and Guys,
I've been having a phone chat with one of the archivists at Heritage about
Triumph service bulletins - i.e. have they got any, what do they cover etc
etc. Very nice bloke but said he wasn't too sure of the info scope and
would come back to me. Thought that would be the last I heard - but No. He
was back within half an hour to say that all BMIH has from what he'd been
able to find, were a vast collection of bulletins from sometime in 1972 to
1977. Nothing before or after. So, if any of you want info for that period,
I think the best thing is to write to:

describing in some detail what it is you require. David (forgotten his
other name already) said that the bulletins are all filed in date order -
and not by subject or model. This means that whoever starts to delve on
your behalf, will just have to keep flicking pages till they find something
- if its there at all and that wouldn't be a few minutes work. My
recommendation would be to leave BMIH alone unless you are pretty sure your
problem might well have been subject to bulletin action. How you'll
determine that, I'm not too sure. While having no involvement at all in
their finances, I should perhaps point out that BMIH gets a large chunk of
its funding via public gate money from visitors. They don't dish out
information for free (sadly) and there are charges for data access. Perhaps
a cheque in a negotiable currency to pay part of their electricity bill for
a few minutes in the Exhibition Hall might be appreciated - and it might
even get you a little more info than you'd hoped for - especially if it's
'up front.' Oh yes - the other thing is they might (repeat might) be able
to let me have some access to the photo negatives library providing I cough
over some loot and the subject matter is reasonably regarded as being in
BMIH's 'public domain.' We shall see what we shall see. Anyone got
particular piccy needs?
