Larry,
I spoke with SuperTrapp last week. They recommend 2 units with
2" inlets. The standard Triumph exhaust pipe is considerably less than
2" (1 5/8" ?), so we are required to "build up" the pipe where the
exhaust pipe and the 2" SuperTrapp (the smallest thay make) will fit.
Some folk run 2" all the way back from the manifold. I understand
that full-on racers will run 2.25" pipe. I think your 3" SuperTrapp may
be a little overboard for a Triumph (3" is probably more appropriate
for a big V8 flowing a lot of gas).
