TR6 10:1 head

Can someone tell me whether or not a 10:1 compression head can be put on
a regular TR6 engine?  What are the benefits, and what are the
complications?  Will it increase horsepower, or will other changes have to
be made to the engine in addition?

I see these advertised once in a while, and just wonder whether or not it
is worthwhile to pick one up, perhaps even for future use.  

Mine is a North American 73 TR6.
