Dear all,
I have some 1 3/4" SU H6 carbs which were sold to me some time back. I'd like
to try them out on my 71 TR6 in place of the stock Z-S's which are hard to tune
properly.
Since the SU's don't have the ports for the crankcase gas pipe (from the valve
cover), I'd like to find aircleaners which will fit these carbs but also have
pipe fittings in the centers to which the hoses could attach.
They were sold to me with this type of setup but the filters were rotten. It
looked basically identical to the pictures I've seen of the setup on some TR4's
- there's a Y splitter pipe to go into each filter. However it seems like these
were on the ones with the Z-S's. I don't think these same aircleaners would fit
on the SU's.
So -
1. Did any TR's come with 1 3/4" SU's w/ this style aircleaner assembly? If so,
are replacements readily available?
2. If it's not an original TR part, does anyone know of any source for such
parts?
