Electrical Woes

Please write with any ideas.
Driving with my lights on in my 1972 TR-6 produces an unusual
experience.
At different times my lights will dim, ampmeter will go full discharge
and the Ign. light will glow.  Lifting will usually fix the problem,
however it will reoccur when a steady is again obtained.
