I never use "colorful" language... Just "colourful". I think this could lead to confusion, as things get altered in the translation, words that would not cause offence in the UK, would in the USA, and vice versa. Of course I do believe there are some common standards. I am also used to University connections, where everything is filtered, and * placed over the offending vowels, but not so here.
