Here is what I have discovered,
People would wish for,
1. An expert system, for diagnostics. There are packages available to
enable you to build up a knowledge base. I'm not taking this module,
which does put this out slightly.

2. A program which models an engines performance, given various
perimeters.
Have a look at this page http://efi332.eng.ohio-state.edu/diy_efi/,
then follow the software links, I believe you would want an off line
   package.

3. A fuel injection system ECU was in there. This looks about the right
size, I would want to write some code that you feed in some data for
an engine, no. cylinders, no injectors, sizes, emissions %'s, etc.
It
could then be fitted to any engine, with CO sensors etc. It should
then
control the engine enough to get it started, and the learn the
optimum
parameters, and reprogram it's self with these. I believe this would
enable you to fit it to any engine, any size, and it would find the
optimum tune. What would be quite good would be a VVC output, but
then
that car has an ECU anyway.

4. A spell checker, not a bad one this because I need one which gives
the
meaning of the words, and also checks the context. To much data to
process, and once you have one, how do you link it into you packages.

5. A thing for setting up suspension, steering etc. This looks a bit to
complex in that I presume you will need to model the stresses on the
   chassey etc.

6. Robotics marmot replacement :-)

7. A torque wrench that knows what bolt you are doing up, and set's its
self. Cool gizmo, but any ideas how to do it.

I had an excellent weekend. De-rusting / brake calliper seal change.
Cooking getting drunk.
The top half of the bonnet, (hood whatever) is still Inca Yellow, but
the wings are now British racing green, and it looks good.

I made a Monster Curry last night, made it up, it was nice though.
Chicken, fried in cornflower.
Garlic 3, onion, ginger. Fried, with a bit of sugar.
2 tomatoes chopped, tomato paste.
Red wine vinegar.
Chilly powder, garamasala, turmeric, cumin, something else.
Peanut butter.
Beer.
Pepper sliced.
Then put in the oven, until the rice was done. My timing
was a bit off.

MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmm Nice.
