An acquaintance of mine (who actually owns 31 LBC's in various stages of
repair) is making a trip (w/trailer) across the country and back in the
near future.
To offset his expenses going to and fro, he is looking for people who
may need a car and/or heavy parts transported. He says his trailer
weight capacity is about 2800 pounds.
He will leave from the Washington, D.C., area around the end of March,
(with an empty trailer) and a destination of Arizona. (He will then
move a golf cart from AZ to Oregon.) He will return from Oregon (but
can pickup something anywhere on the west coast) around the 3rd or 4th
week of April, returning to D.C. Obviously, he can make stops along the
way going to and fro. As I mentioned, he is only looking to offset some
costs, so his rates will be quite reasonable, and would want about $300
to transport an LBC from the west coast to the east -- a reasonable sum,
IMHO. Other transport jobs will be less, depending on distance.
