Actually, a cigarette lighter was a "dealer installed option". My
daughter's TR6 has one. It's mounted under the dash, below the glove
box.

I kind of like the idea, hidden but functional. I have several
spare ashtrays so cutting a hole in one is no big deal. At least you
would than have a way to charge your cell phone if the battery goes
dead from trying to call from the roadside for help!
