Undercoating

Listers,
    I'm in the process of rebuilding the front suspension of the TR3.  While
I've got the car on jackstands, I thought I might give it an application of
undercoating.  It's not rusty (a bit oily though) but the old stuff is
looking thin and chipping.  Any recommendations on an undercoating to use?
I would prefer to use something that brushes on rather than spray.  Also,
any suggestions on what to use on the suspension parts(A arms, tie rods,
etc.)?   Thanks in advance..
