Brad - Thanks for the reply on the seats. Glad you enjoyed reading... I don't see how you're going to sand out those letters. They're pretty small. A friend of mine restored the comm plate for my early Herald. He meticulously outlined every letter with an exacto knife, then he removed the paint, sanded lightly, and repainted the black by hand, up to the lines left by the exacto knife.
