Edward, I did the separation on a 78 spit using the tool you refer to. I whacked it good a couple of times and it came right out. There is a smaller tool that is a tie-rod seperator. It looks the same only with smaller fork and a longer shaft. Either tool ought to do the trick. Troy Johnson 78 Spitfire |
