Subject: Mystery ignition problem
Allrighty. I need some help.
I have a '77 Spitfire w/Lucas Distributor attached.
There's an Allison Electronic ignition that was added by a previous owner.
It's set up with the optical signal.
After running for a little over half an hour I checked some components and it
wouldn't start.
Turns out no spark is getting to the plugs through the distributor.
After checking the timing and statically setting for 10 degress before TDC.
We aligined the optical sensor with the #1 Cylinder.

D = Distributor
According to the Haynes Manual.
After connecting everything we're still not getting spark out of the plugs.
The Coil is sparking, up to the distributor cap.
For some reason NO spark is going through the rotor to the cap.
I've purchased a new rotor, plugs, cap and wires and non of these helped. Even
tried the old parts again.
Any ideas?
