TR6 - Supercharger

Does anybody know which Eaton Supercharger NIck Formica used in his TR6?
Second question, why use the HD8 SU carb instead of the stock Stromberg 175
carb (aside from the fact that the SU has an offset bowel)?  In checking the
Magnusson Products and Eaton web pages, it appears to me that the "pop off"
valve comes with the unit, is that correct?
