Here's what I know from personal experience and reading....I know, the
mind's the first to go.

I had a 63TR3 in 1963(so it had the "4" motor) and when cold the oil
pressure (OP) would reach 70 on the way to cruising (60-65mph) on the
highway and drop to 50. After a while on the road and everything got to
operating temperatures, the OP would jump up to 70 and stay there. If you
are really running 90, that seems to high. There is a bypass valve I
believe that can be adjusted at the filter base to prevent the oil pressure
from becoming to high. I'd check the pressure gage before I'd mess with
adjusting the valve. I belive the pressure is to reach a max of 70.......
