Gary:

The arm with the most curve goes FORWARD of the ball joint.  The effect is
that the vertical link is slanted toward the rear to some degree.  This is
a good example of "castor."  Correct installation will give you the correct
(roughly) castor angle, but if you put them in backwards, you'll have
negative castor (extreme) and you'll find you won't be able to steer!!
(No, I don't know this from personal experience!!)
