Was just thumbing through the cable channels Saturday night, waiting for
the Thanksgiving episode of "South Park" to come on. Came across the
35th annual celebration of the JFK assasination on The History Channel.
They were running old CBS footage from that weekend (which, I hate to
admit, I remember vividly). They were up to the Sunday, when Ruby shot
Oswald, when I clicked in. CBS had a camera on the streets of Dallas,
while they were waiting for Oswald to come down the elevator and get in
a squad car.
The streets were packed with Cadillacs, Chevys, Falcons, a bunch of
Ramblers, etc., lots of cool old cars when they were in their prime.
Passing through traffic, from right to left about a third of the way
down the screen, was a Triumph Herald!!!
