The AutoZone p/n is DL7127M. One warning--I did have to modify the
tension adjusting strap. The base mount is quite good, very true in the
plane of the belt with the standard Delco, but the strap won't fit. The
normal alternator, mounted high on the block, won't allow the use of the
standard adjusting strap. I welded on a l-bracket to the adjusting strap
to correct for the difference in offset and angle, and mounted the
alternator swung down low, attaching the modified strap upside-down from
one of the lower bolts holding the front engine plate onto the block.
Wiring is quite straightforward--indicator light (brown/yellow) lead to
regulator terminal #1, battery to the other lead (light-gauge brown), B+
as normal.

There are likely several Delco numbers which will fit--the Delco part
numbers seem to change with the type of regulator installed. All
three-wire models mount as above, all two-wire models require only B+ to
the output and the indicator light wired to what is IND on the Lucas
alternator. The main mount seems to be the same as those used with some
Triumph 68-69 models with British Delco alternators, so the fit there is
a snap (wonder if there was a deal made with British Delco by Triumph
which fell through when B_L was in full control--keep in mind that all
the Lucas alternators require a space in the main mount bolt to align
them properly--the Delco requires no machining for proper fit, with
regard to belt alignment).

Cheers, Joe.
