My TR-4 has developed a rattle, I assume from the transmission.
I hear it only when accelerating, and it changes pitch if you
apply pressure to the gear shift. It definitely sounds metallic,
like there's a flat spot in some rotating object. The tranny
drives alright, no problem shifting in or out of gears, shift
feels solid.
Sound familiar to anyone? I guess I could get an extension
to my computer mike and record a .wav file, that might help.
Pretty long extension requried :-)
