TR3 tires

Am currently rebuilding a '59 TR3A that came with fairly decent Semperit
155 SR15 tires, although they are about 15 years old. If I remember from
my younger days driving an older TR, those tires are very hard and
really don't handle well. Any suggestions for a contemporary tire that
will fit the TR3?
