As a new owner of a '72 TR-6, I'm searching for a mechanic in the
Central New Jersey area (Somerset, Hunterdon, Southern Morris
Counties). Seems like I don't have as much time at the age of 44 to
work on my own car as I did when I owned my first TR-6 (a '69) long,
long ago. Actually, I do plan to do much of the basic work myself, but
I am looking for an honest shop to do an initial evaluation and possibly
to handle some of the tougher stuff down the road (e.g. rebuilding the
trans).
I've come across 4 shops in the area that do "import" work...any reviews
from the knowledgable people on this list?:
1. Oldwick Village Garage, Oldwick NJ
2. Auto-Tech, Long Valley NJ
3. Don's Jagar, Flemington, NJ
4. Auto Clinic of Whitehouse, Whitehouse Sta., NJ
I'm interested in any positive or negative feedback, and/or any
suggestions for other garages in my area. Direct e-mail reply to me at
jkorkuch@chubb.com would be appreciated; the digest version of this list
is long enough!
Lastly, thanks to all for the great information on the list; I'm not
anticipating I'll encounter too many problems that I haven't already
read about at some point (but you never know...)
