Stag: Any Info on Engine Replacement?

Fellow Triumph Listers,

A fellow I know (who has done many total rebuilds of Big Healeys) has a
Stag without an engine. He has asked me to try to find out if any
information on a Stag engine replacement (with USA V-8 iron) is out on
the WWW. I looked around on VTR, SOL and the UK Stag Club sites to no
avail. Anyone have any suggestions where I could look? Any experiences?
Any books or magazines for reference? If so, please e-mail me at my
