Does anyone have any information or ideas on how to avoid losing the
head on the TR7? Is it just a matter of poor maintenance? Or is the
engine just prone to head failure? I have two 79 TR7 convertibles and
one 76 coupe. Two I bought not running and one was one, but it failed in
less than a week. I spent almost every weekend this summer in junk yards
trying to locate repairable TR7 heads that had not been milled to much
already. Is there a source for head spacer gaskets, the solid copper
ones? Is there a source for the specs one how how much can be removed
from the head?
