GT6/Spitfire Rear Spring Direction

I'm in the process of replacing the fixed rear spring in my '67 GT6 with the
later pivoting spring.  Now that I've got it apart, stripped and painted I
notice that there is a front and back to it, at least on one leaf it is
marked as such.  Question is, is there a way I can put it back together the
right way?  The one leaf is marked but how about the others?
