I am trying to decide which wheels to put on the 1967 TR-4A (IRS)
I am resurrecting. It currently has some tired old 60 spoke
painted wheels. I am considering options ranging from...
1 Clean 'em, paint 'em myself (probably not)
2 Send the wheels to British Wire Wheel for overhaul
3 Purchase new painted wires (same size=15x4.5?)
4 Purchase wider painted wires (TR-6 size=15x5.5)
5 Purchase new aluminum wheels (probably too expensive for me).
(Tire recommendations welcome also.)
I'm currently favoring option 4.
My question is this: Will TR-6 wire wheels (15x5.5) fit
this car without any problems. Would like to hear from
someone who has gone this route.
Alternatively, (option 4a) any good used TR-6 wires out there
for sale?
Thanks,
Ray
