Subject: Race Spit comm. number
Hi all (and especially Andy on this one... :)!
I finally got the race Spit last week!!! Yay!! It is a round-tail with
built-up 1300 engine, and is set up for road racing. I am going to
autocross it next year and then take it to the track the year after
that. It is maroon, number 53 (which will soon change -- probably to
42, for those Douglas Adams fans). I have driven it at the SCCA SW
Divisional we hosted in August, and it GOES! Fun fun fun!
I have a question for ya -- it is listed as FD9604 (and a PO wrote
FD9604L in the log book -- does the "L" mean anything? It wasn't on the
plate on the car.) and I am trying to find out exactly what year that
was. So far, it has been narrowed down to 1967-68 by the Vickie Brit
chart, but the VTR site provided no new info.
So if you can help, please let me know! I would greatly appreciate it!
I would also appreciate any info on competition rear axles (just info,
not in the market yet) if any of you out there know where they are to be
found, specs, and price.
Thanks!
Keep Triumphing,
Susan Hensley %)
