Ken Streeter, the keeper of the VTR website (www.vtr.org) just put an article
on the maintenance page regarding refurbishment/replacement of wire wheels.
 If interested the title is "Wire Wheel" magic.  If you have a set of wire
wheels which need work or replacement, the article might give you some
