I'm posting this to the list because it has bounced around due to a wrong
address and I don't know if you guys saw it. It is from Kevin Allen (email
address above), who races Spits (SCCA) and has his own auto repair business.
He has done a lot of excellent work on my TR4 and knows his stuff (IMHO).

The oil feed modification kit is a sham . The only time you would need
this is if the feed , from the scroll at the rear of the cam through the
block into the head and up through the rocker stand to the rockers , was
for some reason blocked . If the feed is blocked then the engine needs
disassembly for inspection , right ?
You are taking a line off the main galley at lube pressure , 50+ psi ,
and dumping it into the cylinder head . This overloads the top of the
engine with uneeded oil which runs by the guides that don't have oil
seals on them and pours down on the lifters that whip the oil into a
nice froth , which is great if you are making a margurita but not worth
a flip for lubrication .
