Good morning,
I am attempting to get my reverse lights working and am
in the process of testing the switch on the top of
the gearbox shift cover - this is an early (70) gearbox
with A-type overdrive and all switches are on top of
the cover (2nd gear OD on, 3rd/4th gear OD on, and
reverse) - I can't find any reference in my Bentley
manual for all three on top - but this appears to be
the proper configuration. I get no reading on the
multimeter with reverse engaged so either my switch is
bad or there's no power getting to it - any recommendations?
I have a new switch from Moss that I'm going to try but
it looks different (deeper) than the others. All other
wires in the harness feeding the back lights (tail, stop,
turn indicators, license plate) are fine.
